Collaboration with Zona Johna on the Zona Johna Buckethat AR try-on effect, bringing their signature sustainable design into an immersive digital experience.
Zona Johna is fashion stripped of pretense. Founded by Warsaw-based designer Aleksandra Rałowska, the label grew out of a refusal to play the industry’s game of polish and perfection. Instead, Rałowska reimagines reality itself—turning socks into moon bands, curtains into hair ties, and old shopping bags into embroidered talismans of memory and identity. Her creations carry traces of the everyday yet speak with the urgency of art, offering a radical alternative to fashion’s glossy facade. Featured in Vogue Polska, Elle, and Glamour, Zona Johna is celebrated for its honesty, intimacy, and ability to transform imperfection into beauty.
Zona Johna: Authenticity, Upcycling, and Polish Expression
Based in Warsaw, Aleksandra Rałowska—creatively known as Zona Johna—has become one of Poland’s most compelling independent designers by turning the ordinary into the extraordinary. With roots in philosophy and formal training at the International School of Costume and Fashion Design, she has styled for major Polish TV productions (Dancing with the Stars, World of Dance, The Second Face) and collaborated with established labels such as Odzieżowe Pole, Plny Lala, Shameless, and Deni Cler.
Her approach to design is deeply personal and inherently sustainable: sourcing fabrics from family wardrobes, reclaiming vintage finds, and giving new life to overlooked materials. Socks are reworked into moon bands, curtains become hair ties, and market bags are embroidered with lyrics, questions, or intimate reflections—each object transformed into a wearable story.
Rejecting the polish of fast fashion and prestige branding, Rałowska positions Zona Johna as a brand built on authenticity, memory, and creative reuse. Her work has been profiled in Vogue Polska, Elle Poland, and Glamour, where she has been praised not only for her striking style but also for redefining what sustainability and individuality can look like in contemporary Polish fashion.
